How to compete as a student
The student category in Packnorth Award 2026 – The future of the packaging industry
In many parts of the Nordic region, education in packaging design and packaging technology is available. Those who study in these areas can be said to be the future of the industry. Many go on to the industry after their education and contribute with fresh thoughts and ideas.
Packnorth Award is now opening a new category called “The Future of the Packaging Industry” where you as a student can participate and show your thoughts and ideas. You can contribute with a mock-up / simple prototype or why not a 3D print.
In addition to a diploma and fame, a scholarship from Packnews and Empack of SEK 10,000 awaits the winner.
We know that money is scarce when studying, so the entry fee is only 150 SEK.
Remember to take into account the upcoming environmental and sustainability requirements. How do you develop packaging that meets both visual and functional design requirements while addressing both environmental and climate requirements?
The award ceremony takes place on the main stage at Empack in Stockholm on 30 September.
The future of the packaging industry
We like to call all packaging students ‘the future of the industry’. Now you have a chance to show off your skills in this category. With skill and a bit of luck, you could win a SEK 10,000 scholarship from Packnews and Empack (plus a diploma and flowers, of course).
