Time to showcase the Nordic region’s packaging solutions
Packnorth Award, the Nordic region’s most influential packaging competition, is the meeting place for packaging solutions that create real competitive advantage.
The competition highlights solutions that combine functionality, design, sustainability and commercial impact, strengthening brands and driving better business outcomes.
For companies in the packaging industry, Packnorth Award is a strategic tool. Participation increases visibility among the right target audiences, strengthens market positioning and serves as a quality stamp in dialogue with customers, partners and investors.
All submitted entries are showcased at Empack, and the nominated entries will also be exhibited at the Danish trade fair Sign Print & Pack in Odense in September. In addition, all entries compete for the Packnorth Award Grand Prize, a Nordic marketing package with high impact and clear business value.

We were very proud and happy to receive the Packnorth Award for our Box for used electric car batteries. It means a lot to be recognized in this way, not least for the company but also for the designers who created the solution.
Today’s business requires modern and upgraded packaging with smart and brand-building features. At the same time, there are increasing demands for reduced environmental wear and tear and wise use of resources.To challenge knowledge and creativity in the form of a competition is to put all the questions to the test. And at the same time get proof of success.
It was great fun and honorable to receive the Packnorth Award in the food packaging category for ICA’s household cheese. It was especially fun to receive the award on stage together with Skånemejerier and Mondi, who were responsible for the development work and who finally solved the challenge of creating a monomaterial that can be deepdrawn. It is a result of hard work and great cooperation between all parties that made us succeed!
Smart packaging solutions that demonstrate the driving force behind the industry have probably never been more important. Sustainable solutions are a major focus both for us as a manufacturer and for our customers. Through a packaging design competition such as the Packnorth Award, the industry can show how far it has come in this area and at the same time establish new thoughts and ideas that drive development forward. We are very happy about the award that honors really good and environmentally friendly packaging solutions. We at Liplid AB are very proud to have been awarded the Packnorth Award 2022. We have worked hard to develop a functioning lid with the new dry molding technology. The challenges lie in the complicated design, which makes the process long. The plan is to come to market in the first part of 2023.
